Defensive Driver Stage 1 $149
This half-day course offers something to drivers of all ages and experience. Using your own vehicle it will help you to develop new driving techniques, update and refresh your already existing skills. Held at a number of convenient locations, the Stage 1 is held from 8:30am – 12:30pm and will help you to develop your skills through both theory and practical teachings. The Defensive Driver Stage 2 is conducted straight after the Stage 1, commencing at 1:00pm allowing you to complete both courses on the same day at a reduced cost of only $250.
Techniques covered during Stage 1 include:
- Vehicle set up
- Understanding vehicle technology such as ABS and traction control
- Emergency braking techniques
- Accident avoidance techniques
- Driver attitudes
- General road safety
All courses are run by our professional instructors, with a ratio of one instructor to every four students. During the day, time is split between theory and practical driving experience, with the emphasis on maximum driving time.
As well as developing driving techniques you will also learn more about your car, essential maintenance and gain an understanding of it’s safety features and benefits. Learning to communicate with your car can minimise wear and tear when on the road therefore reducing vehicle maintenance costs.
